knee surgery #3

October 26th i went in at 6 in the morning....i got slightly irritated while in pre-op because when the anesthesiologist came in to get me ready for my block he looked at my chart and says he'll be back in awhile because he's getting all of his 7:30 patients ready and i'm not til 8:30!! If i'm not til 8:30 then why in the world did i have to be there at freakin 6 in the morning!!! i'm not much of a morning person so that kinda blew! But eventually he came back in and got me hooked up with the nice drugs! my doc was late showing up but around 9 i finally went in for surgery....i came out all good and this time for the first time they gave me some crackers with my pain med so for the first time out of 3 surguries i didn't throw up on the drive home!! HOORAY!! that made a ton of difference!! I've started physical therpy and tomorrow is my 3rd day...i go 3x a week for 4 weeks. i think i'm doing fairly well, and hopefully will be good to go at the end of 4 weeks! My knee gets pretty sore but we're workin through it...you have to when you have a lil guy to take care of! here are some pics from the day after, i need to take new pics, my stitches are all out and my bruises are darker, my knee is less swollen....i'm healing!! :) Brad has been super husband and has been not only taking care of his wife but also taking care of heston, and the laundry and other cleaning responsibilites! GO BRAD YOU ARE AWESOME!! I LOVE YOU!! i have also had awesome help from kathy, hilary and ethan- thanks for coming and taking care of heston while i wasn't able to. And thanks to my visiting teacher and neighbor for their nice meals they brought in!

Here is my knee all stitched up...my stitches are out but i still have the bandaids on the incisions below my knee...the doc said to keep them on til the eventually fall off
i think this one is all red from icing my knee, but it doesn't normally look like that.
