RSV...

It all started after New Years, Elsie started to get congested. Heston and Henley had had colds so i figured she just had a little cold, but by saturday she started to get extremely pale and one time i walked past her and seriously thought she had died because of how pale she was. I was nervous because she had also started to have a cough. Sunday morning brad leaves for his early meetings as usual and about 45 minutes later Elsie started to cry and then had a coughing fit and couldn't catch her breath. She turned really red then started to turn purple and i got freaked out. it put me over the top after how pale she kept getting the day before. So i text brad, he comes home, and we decide we need to take her to the ER. She tested positive for RSV and had bronchiolitis. We were admitted to the hospital because she couldn't maintain her oxygen she hovered around 92 and would have spells of apnia where they would drop to as low as 78. they also gave her an IV to make sure she stayed hydrated, that is the big splint on her arm.
waiting to be taken to our room
 sad day...
got to come visit! Heston with Emmett (he was admitted Tuesday)
We brought our boppy chair so they could be together like they were used to.
SO SWEET! They did this all on their own as well, no posing from me. It was amazing when Emmett got admitted they had to move over Elsie's oxygen to the other side to their tubes would be separate and not get tangled and so they turned Elsie's oxygen off and the RT forgot to turn it back on and Elsie held her oxygen levels for a solid hour before we realized it was off and maintained it until nighttime. it was the longest she had gone. Also while they were getting Emmett all checked out and hooked up, he obviously wasn't happy about it and was crying, and Elsie all of a sudden made the strangest sound, like she knew it was him. we got to come home thursday night because all they could do was give oxygen and suction them out so brad asked it there was stuff we could rent at norco so we could leave the hospital and there was! So that was nice becasue they told us we would need to be there until the weekend. They are doing great now and on monday the 14th Elsie weighed 8.4 and Emmett was 7.11They are growing away and have already changed so much!
