May May May...

May is a rather busy month at our house. Water has already started and farming is getting busier but we also have 2 birthdays and mothers day! It's always when i go out and get my flowers and my veggies. i'm a slacker and haven't even blogged about brad's birthday, on the 11th- he turned 29!! man he's old :) but it was a really low key day, he worked and then we had mutual that evening so nothing too crazy happened. I couldn't help but laugh when he told me what he wanted for his birthday dinner! It was wiener wraps and homemade fries. haha funny guy. so that's what i made, and then of course, we had jello cake for dessert. We bought an exercise bike back in march and we decided it would be both of our birthday presents because it was expensive, so there was no opening of presents either. man we sound lame! but anyway we have been busy...here are a few pics to document

Henley in her john deere shirt....brad came home with this one, he sure spoils his little girl! :) it's fun to watch him with her. she is sucking her fist in this pic but usually she sucks on her pointer and middle finger, it's cute but i hope it doesn't become habit!

i wish i had before and after pics but i don't- i dug up pretty much every single plant in my front flower bed. it was chaos in that thing my plants were just placed at random and i was tired of it, so i made a plan for where everything would go that comes back every year and then i like to fill in with some new random annuals, so i put brad to work on his lunch break to help me transplant everything then after he left i hand tilled our whole flower bed! it was more work than i was anticipating but shovel scoop by shovel scoop i tilled in the soil conditioner and i got it done. this pic is just a portion of the rocks i took out of our flowerbed!!! sweet soil huh! i couldn't believe how big some of them were!
