lately....

Lately we haven't been up to much. It's been so cool in the morning that i haven't been letting him outside...not so much because of the cold but because our backyard is shaded in the mornings and that means that it's very wet from the frost/dew and heston then not only gets cold but also gets wet. We have hit a big milestone though....may not seem big to those of you with no kids or those of you with little babies, but the past 2 mornings while i've showered heston has only peeked in 2 times and by the end of my shower is downstairs playing!!! HOORAY!! It used to be that i would get in the shower and he would close all the doors so he would be stuck in the bathroom, or my room, and he would cry to want to get in and then would just keep opening the shower curtain to see what was goin on- the entire time...he would open one end and i'd close it, so he'd move to the other end and open it. So this is a big thing...not only do my showers go faster, there is also no water on the floor from the curtain being moved...and it's half way like i have privacy- because he still likes to be in the bathroom when i do my business so there's no privacy there :)
One common question i'm asked lately is if brad has been slowing down lately with work. the answer: nope. they are just starting corn harvest. Today they got the combine they've been working on for quite a while out in the field! Heston and i of course went out and rode along for a little bit. Heston and i have been trying to keep busy so yesterday we went and had lunch with brad at the shop so heston could run around...away from the house. The past few times we've been there i've noticed that the shop is VERY dirty. It's not just dirt, which washes, it's grease and all sorts of gunk so today i went to goodwill and bought some cheap clothes that won't make me mad to find greasy and stained. Heston can now go to work with dad and i can be worry free about the condition his clothes will be in when he gets home.
I've been having a hard time with this time of year. I'm not sure it's it's because i'm pregnant which means that stupid things make me easily stressed or what. I am just really wanting brad to have saturdays off....like people with normal jobs. I do good with it all summer but once october hits I, along with most everyone else, automatically start thinking that things should be slowing down. I want to get our garden cleaned out...i did most of our flower bed...there is a tiny stretch left but it had TONS of spiders so that has become brads job :) unless we get sprayed. i know, i'm a baby. I also need to start getting the other bedroom cleaned/organized considering heston will be moving into that room so the new little baby can have the nursery. Things that i know i can do on my own...but i prefer to do with brad.
Sorry if this is extremely boring...i don't have many people i talk to during the day....mostly just heston...so i'm letting it all out, for you all to "enjoy" :) i'm freakishly excited for christmas this year! usually i can contain my excitement until at LEAST november...usually it's not til the week before thanksgiving that i start get SUPER excited but alas....my christmas joy is getting very hard to contain! Saturday heston was napping and i was making funeral potatoes for a funeral lunch and i just couldn't resist putting in a christmas cd while i was cooking! haha i don't know when it happened but i suddenly became my DAD!! he is much more of a christmas fanatic than i am...he listens to christmas music on either the 24th or 25th of EVERY month! haha silly guy, can't help but love him!
Sorry about the extreme amount of blabbering but it felt good to get it out there...now for the fun part- pics of the one and only Heston! :)
Heston loves to walk around with Brad's hats (that he tends to leave all around the house) i think it's pretty cute even though it makes him look slightly like a cancer patient :)
heston also thinks he's rather funny when he pulls it down so he can't see and either walks around or spins in circles
on monday i was having a rough day...brad got home late and i was just grouchy and poor heston had fallen in his basket and i didn't see him at first i could just hear him crying and i was trying to get him to come to me and so finally i went to see what was wrong and this is what i found. He had emptied his basket of toys and had fallen inside and was completely stuck. He also wasn't impressed that i took so long and that after finding him i went to get the camera :) mean mom
one thing Heston LOVES to do is read books! he is quite the chatter(babble) box and it's fun when he looks at book and "reads" them outloud to himself
always smiling and thinking that he is just the funniest kid...pretty fun to be around...hopefully this little one on the way will be as fun! it's just hard to imagine what they'll be like after you already have one
haha goober! he thinks it's so hilarious to put stuff on his head...he wore this for a good 2 hours...it ended up around his neck but he wouldn't take it off
i just think he's so funny! i wish i had a picture from saturday night. we went to our friend's the nederands for the BSU game and he found a pair of strap on sunglasses they had gotten their little boy and he kept trying to put them on so finally i helped him get them on and he thought he was hot stuff! Oh man i was dying laughing! i told him to go show brad and he sticks his head back and runs to brad and is so proud of the glasses! sorry no pic but i didn't have the camera. so this is the closest we have

i think this is a pretty darn cute outfit...he wouldn't let me take a pic though so this is the best we got.

sorry about the freakishly long post....i'll try to keep them shorter from now on :)
